Appropriate Use
- When handling the grinding wheel, follow the three principles of "Don't roll, don't drop, and don't hit." Store the grinding wheel flat on plywood in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Be sure to check the date of manufacture of the grinding wheel and use it on a first-in, first-out basis. (Reference. 3)
- Before attaching to the machine, inspect the appearance of cracks, cracks, chips, etc. on the grinding wheel.
- Make sure that the maximum peripheral speed and dimensions displayed on the grinding wheel are suitable for the machine. (Reference. 1)
- Use an appropriate flange with the same outer diameter and contact width on the left and right. (Reference.2)
- Be sure to check the direction of rotation before installing the grinding wheel.
- Always use a proper grinding wheel cover that covers at least 1/2 of the wheel.
- Perform a test run for at least 1 minute before the start of work on that day, and for at least 3 minutes when the grinding wheel is replaced.
- The work piece should be firmly fixed.
- Wear protective equipment such as protective goggles, dust masks, ear caps, and gloves while working.
- Prevent the scattering of sparks with a shield plate or the like.
- Prevent dust emission and adequate ventilation to prevent respiratory illness.

- Do not use a grinding wheel that has been dropped or hit, or a grinding wheel that has an abnormality in the inspection.
- If the hole diameter of the grinding wheel does not fit the machine, do not force it in or repair the hole diameter.
- Do not use beyond the maximum operating peripheral speed indicated on the grinding wheel. (Reference.1)
- Do not use flanges with deformation, scratches, dirt, or rust on the contact surface with the grinding wheel. Do not use flanges without relief.
- When attaching the grinding wheel to the flange, do not overtighten the nut.
- Do not use the sides of the grinding wheel.
- Do not rotate the grinding wheel before installing the grinding wheel cover.
- Do not force the grinding wheel against the work piece.
- Do not touch the rotating grinding wheel with your hands, feet, fingers, etc.
- During the test run, do not stand in front of the direction of rotation of the grinding wheel.
- When working with a portable grinder, do not place the grinder on a table, floor, work piece, etc. before the rotation of the grinding wheel has completely stopped.
- Do not cut in a place where there is a risk of ignition or explosion.
- Do not enter within the range where sparks fly.
- Those who have not received safety education should not replace or test run the grinding wheel.
